As I’ve been posting more about my journey through self-compassion and inner transformation lately, I’ve had the pleasure of talking to many of you about your own experiences and struggles around this topic.
⁣⁣⁣
One of the common themes I’ve noticed, is that many of you have come to realize that your inner turmoil is tied to lacking a deeper understanding of who you are at your core, and what you need to feel whole and healed.

 

The truth is that many of us have trouble shifting into this, because for so long we’ve created our identities around our pain and trauma. This monumental internal shift into self-love asks us to ask ourselves:

 

Who am I if I’m not my pain and trauma?

Who will I become if I’m actually happy?

And am I committed to creating them from the ground-up?

 

Sometimes the overwhelm of realizing that we have to dive into these questions is enough to ⁣⁣⁣keep us from even trying.

 

Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of not being “enough” once people see us for who we truly are—these are what cripple us and prevent us from stepping into this new phase of our evolution of consciousness and purpose.


We have to take off our masks and connect with who we are at our core. We need to be clear about our values, needs, and goals. We need to understand what we’re comfortable with, what we want from life, what hurts us, what angers us, what makes us happy, etc.

Without becoming self-aware we can never change, because that awareness provides the actual framework needed to figure out what exactly we’re changing into.

 

And it’s this awareness that led me to discover my soul’s purpose: creating OM Therapy Coaching and stepping into the ring as a mental wellness educator, advocate, and leader!
